City Timber was started in 1993 by Chris Trudgen, a local builder, and his wife. Vicki. Chris quickly hired a joiner, Craig Reardon, to help out and together they built a reputation for being able to solve customers’ timber problems, like matching unusual weatherboard profiles and machining timber to exact dimensions.

In 2024, Chris retired and sold the business to a small consortium of friends, Martin White, Adam Gower-Jones and Duncan Hammond. This group wanted to continue the legacy established by Chris, Vicki and Craig.

Now, Martin runs the business and customers are still able to access the specialist species, profiles and services that they always have. Watch out for new products and offerings as Martin and co bring their new ideas to the market!
